Rundown for the Week of July 27, 2001

Listen to the Whole Show

An India Journal by Michelle Kholos
Our reporter Michelle Kholos took advantage of a luxury trip to India. She was offered a tour set up by the Oberoi Hotel chain and Malaysia Airlines. But even with slick accommodations every night, Michelle came away with one dominant impression: She was absolutely overwhelmed. As Michelle tells it in the journal she kept while traveling around the country, from the stunning colors to the burning curry, India is a place that quickly throws you into overload.

The Parking Lot by Carmen Delzell
Sometimes when you travel, you can't be yourself. As Carmen Delzell has learned, you sometimes have to be the person people think you are.

David Borgenicht
The two guys who wrote the very successful book, "Worst Case Scenario," have now turned their practical advice to us travelers. The new book is called "The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook: Travel." David Borgenicht, one of the authors, joined us to teach us how to survive a dizzying array of unpredictable disasters.
