Deal of the Week: Spain Spectacular! (9/13/2002)

This week, we're headed to Spain: great food, great architecture, great art, and generally mild weather.

A well-known tour company called Petrabax has a slew of deals from the U.S. to Spain for the next several months. You can do tapas in Madrid, check out the work of the late gifted architect Gaudi in Barcelona, or take advantage of a deal that includes a rental car, so you can explore the country.

So, how much?

Well, it depends on when you go, and where you're traveling from, but here's a great deal that ought to whet anyone's appetite:

  • airfare from New York City to Barcelona
  • plus 6 nights in a good hotel
  • and airport transfers in Spain
  • Best price: $689 per person, based on two people traveling together.

That's before taxes and fees, which will add another $90 or so.

For the $689 price, you must travel between Nov. 1st and Dec. 11th, or from Christmas day through the end of March. Other dates will cost a bit more. And, of course, there's a surcharge on airfare if you depart from another city in the U.S.

And, if that trip doesn't suit your needs, there are a host of others at the Petrabax Web site.
