It's that time of year when everyone is in summer vacation mode. And, no vacation would be complete without taking a couple rolls of snapshots. But there are snapshots, and then there are snapshots. Some people really know how to take gorgeous travel photos. You can, too -- if you know a few simple tricks. Travel photographer Andrew Hudson gives you some no-fail strategies for taking great snaps. And, host Diana Nyad gets him to answer one of the most popular questions we get at The Savvy Traveler...

Diana asks Andrew:

  • What kind of camera should you bring? [disposables, digital, etc.]
  • What are your five best tips for taking great photos?
  • What are the most common mistakes people make?
  • And, the most-frequently-asked question we get: Is it safe to send film through the airport security scanner?
