Another TP Story

Twenty years ago we were trying to sneak through an illegal border for foreigners from Nepal to India on our way to Darjeeling. We stayed at a non-electric hotel and it was time for the nightly trip to the toilet. We couldn't find it. We were bumping our way all over the hotel and finally found the manager. We tried to ask him in every word we knew for "toilet" and nothing worked. We showed him the toilet paper and that didn't work. We finally acted out what we want and he said something really loudly and pointed to the outhouse. Then EVERYBODY in the hotel said something that must have been like, "Ahh, the foreigners want the toilet!"

The other stories, except for the rat in the restaurant in Yogjakarta, are really too gross for it being mentioned on the air.

Love your program every week!!
