The Strangest Thing I've Eaten Is...Tuna Guts

The strangest thing that I have ever eaten was "tuna guts". Yes, literally the intestines of tuna, uncooked, was served as an appetizer while at a business dinner meeting in Japan. After almost a week of eating (and liking most) raw seafood of various types, the small cup of something that was salty, slimy, and definitely fishy tasting was politely eaten, but questioned. Only after consumption of this delicacy was I informed that what I had just partaken of was indeed tuna intestines. And of course, uncooked.
