Best Beaches

Dear Savvy Traveler:

There are three beaches that we consider the best in the world and it's hard to decide which one takes first place. They are all in Australia (we have not yet found American beaches quite as good, although the Alabama section of the Gulf of Mexico is close to being perfect). Our three Australian beaches are: Cable Beach, Broome, Western Australia; Mission Beach, North Queensland - both quite remote and with magnificent scenery. For those looking for a great beach with wonderful shopping, good restaurants and entertainment close by, you can't beat Surfer's Paradise on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
