Contributor Lena Lencek lives in Oregon, and winter in that part of the country means unrelenting rain. Lena was looking for a rain reprieve and the escape she decided on was sunny Mexico. When we head south of the border, we're looking for sun and good homemade guacamole. Lena's destination was Colima, in the foothills of volcanoes not far from Guadalajara. If you've had the experience of rain ruining your vacation, take a cue from Lena. The most special part of her trip turned out to be the very thing she was trying to get away from.
