 The Winner!
A Dream of a Cruise Deferred You probably know that we've been hosting this contest sponsored by Renaissance Cruises for the last few weeks. And today...at last...a winner. This person and a guest will get a free, relaxing, no obligation, cruise to Tahiti and the South Pacific. Now, when we came up with this contest, we decided that the winner should be someone who really, really deserves a vacation. So we asked you to send in your nominations...friends, family members, co-workers you know who are truly worthy of this trip. Hundreds of letters poured in, illustrating some of the most heart-warming and heart-wrenching stories imaginable. After a lot of debate, the Savvy Traveler staff narrowed the choices down to five finalists. We sent their letters over to Ira Glass, host of public radio's This American Life, who graciously agreed to choose the winner.
