Over the years the Edinburgh International Festival (EIF) has developed into one of the best know arts gatherings in the world. The festival exhibits a wide range of the arts... music, theater, film, comedy...the list seems endless. To help navigate such a rich and overwhelming event, we've enlisted the help of public radio's own Fiona Ritchie . Fiona hosts The Thistle and Shamrock -- a Celtic music program that's heard on more than 350 radio stations in the U.S. She joined us from her home in Edinburgh, Scotland to give us a bit of background on the scene there.
