Slice of America - Abroad

I live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Some companions and I were visiting England a few years ago. While touring Oxford, I left my friends to step outside of the old church to find a napping place. The English are terribly understanding about naps, and so I felt comfortable finding a nice, tall cedar near a gate to lie down for my 20-minute naptime. Just as I began to slip into REM, I heard a voice say "Dixie! What are YOU doing here?"

Our choir director's daughter standing over me.

Small world.

She was on a summer student exchange program there.

I missed my nap.

Dixie
