Tips for Children on Planes

Two tips. One. Many children cry because their ears hurt with the changes in pressure. Their little Eustachian tubes do not equalize pressure as well as adults tubes do. Please mention to parents to train their children how to equalize pressure (first, trying yawning several times; second, plug nose and close mouth and try to exhale without letting air escape).

Two. All travelers should carry industrial foam earplugs. They work really well.

Sadly, we cannot do much about kids who kick the seat behind us. Or the lummox who intends to force his seat back constantly. Maybe Miss Manners, Judith Martin needs to be your guest!

Thanks for the great show. I listen on WHQR, Wilmington, NC
