Traveling Music

Great travel music, of course, has to fit the scenery. Selections from Marshall Tucker's "Searching for a Rainbow" are great for the Appalachians and other misty mountains. (Mind you, I was a kid when John Denver was popular; it had its effect.) More severe mountain views, say along the Continental Divide, call for Beethoven's Ninth. Classic Clapton is great for Midwestern and prairie travel, and Pancho Sanchez and later Dizzy Gillespie are fun for parts of the Southwest.
