Leicester

I was listening to your program on Tuesday evening. I am sure you will welcome some instruction on the traditional pronunciation of "Leicester". You are correct that there are only two syllables, but you got the first one wrong. It's not as in "lie" but as in "lest". So the whole thing is simply "lester". You can check with any English person. It is of course one the classic names with irregular pronunciation that aliens get wrong when they are forced to guess.
