Airline Pilots

You had a caller on March 16th that wanted to know the background of the pilot flying her plane. How about this: as airline pilots in the United States, we are the most highly trained pilots in the world. First Officers (co-pilots) are tested yearly on their flying skills, and Captains are tested every 6 months. To even get a job flying for an airline, a minimum of 1500 flight hours are required. Sorry ma'am, not too many military pilots out there with "missions" under their belts getting hired by the airlines right now.

I'd worry more about the people driving your kids around in that big yellow bus if I were you.
