Deal of the Week: Air Discounts Online!

Real Audio Listen with RealAudio          help Need audio help?

The two most popular on-line travel sites are Expedia.com and Travelocity.com. And if you don't keep your eye on 'em, you may lose out on travel bargains. That's because the two sites often partner with an airline or credit card company to offer significant discounts.

Right now, for example, you can save ten percent on any ticket on National Airlines if you book through Expedia.com. The Las Vegas-based airline serves Los Angeles, San Francisco, DC, Dallas, Miami, Chicago and Dallas, among other cities. You have to buy your ticket on Expedia by next Sunday, March 6th. But you can travel through May 23rd.

Over at rival Travelocity.com, you'll get 15 percent off any round-trip British Airways ticket if you book online at Travelocity and use a MasterCard. You have a little more time to take advantage of this deal - until the last day of March - and your travel window is from April first through the end of July. These days, with advance-purchase ticket prices already low, an additional ten or 15 per cent off is worth firing up the computer.

Ten percent off National at Expedia, 15 percent off British Air at Travelocity - that's my Deal of the Week!
