Club Med Wild-Card

It's getting chilly in most parts of the United States which means it's time for the annual pot-luck vacation offer from the folks at Club Med. They pick the beach, you pick the week. And singles, couples, and families can save big on a resort holiday.

It's called a wild-card or family escape deal, and here's how it works. You tell Club Med when you can travel mid-week -- a Wednesday to a Wednesday or a Thursday to a Thursday. Then, seven days before departure, Club Med will tell you whether you're going to a resort in the Bahamas, Caribbean, or Mexico. Singles and couples pay as little as $999 each. That includes airfare, lodging, most sports, and food and drinks at meals. The family escape begins at $799 per person and you'll find yourself at a family village in either the Bahamas or Caribbean. The deal is good from New York, L.A., San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, and Washington, D.C. And you can count on saving up to $600 per person, per week. There's a December holiday black out time, but, otherwise, the deal is good until the end of June.

Club Med's wild-card vacation -- that's my Deal of the Week!
