Traveler's Aid: Airline Troubles (8/16/02)

Real Audio Listen in RealAudio          help Need audio help?

Our Travel-Expert-in-Residence, Rudy Maxa, and host Diana Nyad discuss the impact all the bad airline news will have on travelers. With US Airways filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, United announcing they may do the same within one month, and American doing a major restructuring including layoffs, what will this do to ticket prices, flight availability and service? Rudy says not to worry, in the short-term: While prices should go down overall, flying could be less convenient, with more waiting and fewer flights.
