Travelers' Aid: Traveling Conscience (7/13/2001)

It seems Jeff Tyler came away from Burma feeling his trip was justified by virtue of his giving voice to some of the people living there, and he even winds up encouraging tourists to go, but there are certainly many political groups that strongly advocate avoiding Burma altogether right now. One of them is a British organization called Tourism Concern and it couldn't be better timing than to talk now to the campaign officer of Tourism Concern in London, Lara Marsh.

If you'd like us to address your travel questions or concerns, send us an email. Or, you can snail-mail them in. The address is The Savvy Traveler, in care of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California 90007. Or call us at 888-SAV-TRAV.
