Between you and me, the travel world has changed. It used to be exciting - the anticipation, looking through brochures, dreaming for weeks about those two weeks off. Today, it's cancelled flights, over-booked hotels...we just got word the sunset is planning a labor action. What happened?

It's a different age. But, there is hope. NBC Today Show travel editor Peter Greenberg has a new book called The Travel Detective. It's strategies for road warriors. I ventured to his home headquarters, in Sherman Oaks, California, where Peter told me there's just one way to approach a trip these days - whether you like it or not.

You can hear more of our interview next week, when he gives a behind the scenes tour of the Travel Detective headquarters.

If you'd like us to address your travel questions or concerns, send us an email. Or, you can snail-mail them in. The address is The Savvy Traveler, in care of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California 90007. Or call us at 888-SAV-TRAV.
