Some good tips:

  1. If you're buying last-minute tickets for two, try buying them separately. Sometimes, you can get cheaper tickets that way because you won't have to try to get two seats side by side.
  2. Some last-minute travel deals include hotel accommodations and/or car rentals. So, you can get a cheap flight and more, all at once.
  3. When bidding on vacation auctions, remember that you will have to pay at least $100 in addition to your bid per person in taxes and surcharges.
  4. No time to read up on your destination? For a quick preview and local history of the city you want to visit, check out www.hellometro.com www.hellometro.com.
