This week: Houseguests From Hell
Sometimes, taking in a houseguest can be a real eye-opener. Listener Matt got more than he bargained for when he invited some guests over to spend the night. After that little "run-in," they ended up checking into a motel. A few weeks ago, I asked you to call in and tell me about your worst houseguest. Relatives seem to be at the top of the list. Listener Mary Anne called to tell us about the time she treated her visiting aunt to a lavish dinner. Imagine Mary Anne's surprise when she discovered that her Aunt Rose liked to treat herself to a lot more than just fine cuisine.
Now, not all houseguests are nightmares. Some just have more potential to be than others. Say perhaps, a felon. As a lawyer, Ed sees his fair share of criminals. After springing one client from the joint Ed discovered that the offender had no place to stay. So, naturally, he brought him home...
Next Week: New Year's Travel Resolutions
Well, the final curtain will soon fall on 2000. Last year at this time, it seems everyone was worried about that pesky Y-2-K bug. This year it looks like all we have to deal with are butterfly ballots and finally establishing the next official leader of the free world. So, here's my question for you this week: What'll you be doing in 2001? Now's the perfect time to start jotting down those resolutions, especially your travel resolutions! Where is that one place in the world that you are determined to visit? Why? And what do you want to do when you get there? Maybe you want to try a different way of traveling. Remember, resolutions are more attainable when you tell a friend, so give me the scoop. What's your travel resolution for 2001? Take that first step and send uss an email or call 888-SAV-TRAV. That's 888-728-8728.
