Mastering Exchange Rates

Dear Rudy,

I have just returned from Turkey and Greece. Here's a tip that really made shopping, cab rides, restaurant bills, etc., really easy: Go to www.Oanda.com and click on their "Cheat Sheets" for the currency of the country you're traveling to. (It's best to do this a couple of days before you depart, so the exchange rates are current.) Print out the rates BOTH ways: dollars to lyra and lyra to dollars, for example. Take your printouts to a photocopy place and have them laminated back-to-back. Now you've got a simple pocket guide that you can whip out anytime and get a good idea of what things are costing you!

Bye!

Corky
