Comment re English food

I took exception to your comment on the program broadcast on June 17th. It was in the feature about York Minster and you were describing how hard the life must have been at that time in mediaeval England which of course it must have been, but you then said "and we all know about English food" Well really tell me, just what is English food like. Do you honestly believe that the food that you and all the other tourists get served is really English food. Have you really spent any time in England, living with a real English family and tasted real English food. I very much doubt it. It would be like me saying that all Americans are brash, loud mouthed, self-opinionated know-alls, which of course you are not are you.

Regards Michael

P.S. I love the show
