Where Is Paradise?

Paradise is the east coast of Lake Michigan in a small town called Onekama, MI on Portage Lake. When everyone in the world is taking vacations to Florida and fighting large crowds and paying enormous prices, we pack our kids in the car and drive 1,000 miles from Wichita, KS to MI. I have been enjoying this paradise since I was 1 year old with my family as I was growing up in Ohio. Then I met the man of my dreams and found he had been going to this spot for the same number of years, just at a different time of the summer. Needless to say, our children are enjoying this tradition of lounging by the lake without 10,000 other people and eating out, golfing, sightseeing, etc without coming home tired and penniless. Our delightful spot was even better this year as we went back and enjoyed the lake, trees, etc in October. Wow! I hope every year we can spend time in paradise twice a year.

Cindy
