Mini and Me

In 1971 I hitchhiked in Scotland with my backpack, camping out in the woods and fields. The funniest moment was fitting myself into one of those TINY English cars (Morris Minor? No, that's not it - but it was a Mini much smaller than the first Honda that came out). I could barely get my pack through the door and onto the back seat, let alone me as well. Once in the car, I hoped that these were, indeed, the friendly people they seemed, as there was no way I could possibly run away from the situation, wedged in as I was! They drove me to the bus station in Inverness and I had a wonderful time with them.
