Cool temperatures in Phoenix

I was listening when you told a listener about what to do in Arizona over the Christmas Holidays. In the Phoenix area, the temperatures can be rather cool. Swimming in even a heated pool would be out of the question. In the northern areas, especially the Grand Canyon, it is often below freezing with plenty of snow. The Sonoran Desert is a lush desert and therefore, gets quite a bit of rain. It is pouring here as I sit at my computer.

Last of all, the desert does not bloom in the winter. February at the earliest, more often, April or May. The saguaros do not bloom until late May or early June.

Thanks for the opportunity to add my information.
