A Credit Card Story

Before going to Italy we applied for a new credit card account, received the cards, and activated them. When we got to Italy and attempted a purchase, however, the card was not accepted. After repeated "tests" at different merchants over several days, the account was finally useable. Again, we had travelers checks so our trip was not in jeopardy. Suggestion: make a purchase in the USA, to be sure you can use a card's account.

Fair winds, clear skies, calm seas, sound vessel,
