Best bargains in Europe

The best bargains I have seen are both in (surprise) Europe!

1 - A hotel in Nice, France! Yes, it is true. It was run by a bunch of Lutheran nuns. I never even knew there were Lutheran nuns, but here they were and it was a great little hostel-type hotel. Only a couple of blocks off the beach, it was in the red light district, but that provided some more interesting cultural views! Safe, clean and friendly.

2 - Food in Paris. There are a couple of great districts, near the Sorbonne and near Montmartre, where you can get a great, very French "menu" for cheap. I have to say (as a former Sorbonne student) it is really the way to eat in Paris. Good food, people who are willing to chat, and frequently, some fun street performers. Save your money for other endeavors, take the metro and eat from the "menu" (pronounced MEN-new).

Thanks, Rudy - love your show.
