Sierra Story
I enjoyed the story on the Sierras. Coincidentally, I did a short
trip from Onion Valley to Mt. Whitney in August. It was my fifth
trip; I have done the Muir Trail in pieces. To me, it is my
spiritual home base. If you get much feedback from the piece from
people desiring more information, I highly recommend the book The
Deepest Valley by Genny Smith, available from the Eastern Sierra
Visitors Center. It describes the recreational opportunities,
geology, history, etc. of the Owens Valley.
BTW, the punctuation on your web site makes it appear the Sierras are
in Nevada. They are solidly in California.
